Now, more than ever, health awareness is everyone’s top priority. Everyone is making a collective effort to stay in good condition, so as not to put oneself at risk of contracting the disease. The emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its eventual outbreak has forced the masses to recalibrate their way of living and modify various aspects of their lifestyle, fitness being one of them. 

While many have been thrown off-kilter by this occurrence, the demand to rise and respond accordingly has become even more blaring. Environmental pressures are constantly urging everyone to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes eating well and regular exercise. How to Run Safely During the COVID-19 

Although running is known to be beneficial, it must be noted that at this time of the pandemic, various precautions must be taken, not only for your own well-being but also for others. Everyone is reminded of the following for a safe jog: 

  • Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other runners
  • Do not jog for too long, overexerting yourself will only cause more problems in the future
  • Replenish yourself with enough fluids, always stay hydrated
  • Give your body enough time to recover in between your workouts
  • If you feel sick, do not jog. No reason for stressing the body too much. 

One should be reminded that the end-goal of running is health optimization. If your regimen puts this at risk, then it would probably be good to rethink your program and make it more suitable for you. Overdoing your exercise will only stress your body further and make it prone to disease. One must always be mindful of this. Everything, especially exercise, must be done in moderation to achieve the best results.
